Halamish residents fume at failure to install CCTV cameras

The Ministry of Defense announced Sunday evening that security cameras are to be installed throughout the settlement of Halamish following Friday’s terror attack in which a terrorist stabbed to death Yosef Salomon, 70, and his children Haya Salomon, 46, and Elad Salomon, 35 in their home. Residents of the settlement—adjacent to Ramallah—heaped criticism on the security apparatus in the aftermath of the attack for not upgrading security provisions in the area, including the installation of CCTV cameras , despite the fact that a budget for such measures had already been approved.According to the residents, the budget had already been given a green light after a large fire broke out in the settlement which was caused, they claim, by a Palestinian arsonist. CCTV cameras to be installed at Jubilee Park after molestation case

Jamshedpur : City police have enhanced security at Jubilee Park following the molestation of a girl on July 9 lat. The move comes after a 15-year-old girl was drugged and taken to Jubilee Park by her 22-year-old neighbour, who molested her and filmed the act on his phone, department sources said. A department official said plans are being made to install cameras at the entrance of Jubilee Park. Constant patrolling will be carried out both in the morning as well as in the evening. The department has plans to install four or more CCTV cameras in each of the parks and the stadium being used for jogging by the people. He said they are relying much on the CCTV camera as it will work as a deterrent against the criminal elements targeting people who come to these places for jogging or other physical exercises especially early in the morning. Videocon Telecom forays into security, surveillance with CCTV camera

Videocon Telecom on Tuesday announced its entry into the security and surveillance segment with the launch of an analogue and internet-based closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera , WallCam , from which it expects to generate a revenue of ₹1,115 crore by 2021. Through diversification into new business verticals, such as security and surveillance and mobile value-added services, the company said it was targeting a top-line revenue of ₹300 crore during 2017-18. “We have a licence for pan-India internet service. Now, we are building solutions for broadband services; and security and surveillance is one of the areas where we see a huge potential. We are expecting ₹175 crore revenue from this segment in the current fiscal and ₹1,115 crore by 2021 from sales in the retail network,” Arvind Bali, Chief Executive Officer, Videocon Telecom, told reporters here.
